President Saddam Hussien's Speech On the
9
th Anniversary of
( The Great Victory Day ) marking the end of the war with Iran.

Please keep in mind while you enjoy this site that the Iraqi people are forbidden by law to access the World Wide Web like as you are at this moment.

Although Saddam Hussen would like to present his government for humanity to see on the World Wide Web, he has outlawed Internet access in Iraq itself and referred to it in official government newspapers as the "the end of civilizations, cultures, interests and ethics."

Why would he want to do this?

  • Saddam Hussein realizes that the Internet is the censor's biggest challenge and the tyrant's worst nightmare.

  • Saddam Hussein does not want news from the outside world brought via the Internet into Iraq which might contradict versions provided by his regime, eroding the credibility of his positions and encouraging unrest.

  • Saddam Hussein does not want personal contact via e-mail between Iraqis and people living in the free world which might lead to a more accurate understanding on both ends and further undermine his iron-fisted control.

  • Saddam Hussein does not want information about violations of human rights and other forms of oppression to leak to the outside world.

How many will have to die before it ends?
Will Iraq ever be free of tyranny?

The reality for all too many people in Saddam Hussein's Iraq!
